UAK for 10 years - driv­ing force of change

Young Professional Women in Iceland (UAK) will host their annual conference on May 11th in Norðurljós, Harpa. The headline for this years’ conference is UAK for 10 years - driving force of change to mark the associations’ 10 year anniversary.

On this day, we want to raise awareness of the importance of gender equality, provide a forum for discussions and fill participants with enthusiasm. This year’s theme will take into account the organisations’ anniversary. Therefore, we will focus the attention on the last decade as well as setting the course for the next, both on an individual level and as a society. To achieve this we have partnered up with various prominent speakers who all believe in and have passion for the cause.

The ticket price includes a gift bag, lunch, coffee and light refreshments after the program. Please note that the event will be in Icelandic.

Young Professional Women in Iceland (UAK) is a non-profit organisation that promotes gender equality through education, discussion, and empowerment. The organisation was founded in 2014 and is based in Reykjavik. Its main purpose is to strengthen the position of young women in the Icelandic labor market by addressing challenges young professional women in Iceland face.
