Two new staff mem­bers in Harpa

Hildur Ottesen has taken over the position of Harpa's Marketing and Promotions Manager. and Elín Valgerður Margrétardóttir has been hired for a new position as Harpa's Human Resources and Quality Manager.

Hildur Ottesen has taken over the position of Harpa's Marketing and Promotions Manager. Hildur will be in charge of Harpa's diverse marketing and publicity issues - leading the operators' marketing council, communication with domestic and foreign media as well as being a leader in digital development. Hildur has extensive experience in marketing and promotion and comes from Arion Bank, where she has worked for the past 14 years.

During her career at Arion Bank, Hildur has been involved in various projects; worked in the bank's communications department, was event manager and brand manager. As the bank's brand manager, Hildur took part in leading and shaping the marketing of digital projects, the implementation of systems for employees and the development of the branch network. Hildur has a BS degree in tourism and a BA in Spanish and worked for a long time in tourism abroad.

Elín Valgerður Margrétardóttir has been hired for a new position as Harpa's Human Resources and Quality Manager. Elín leads and manages professional policy-making in human resources and quality issues as well as providing advice to staff and managers in the issue.

Elín has worked in human resources for 16 years, most recently as a specialist at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, where she provided policy formulation and advice to the management of government institutions. Elín was a member of the Negotiating committee for the public sector and her involvement was largely related to the interplay between working environment issues and the well-being of employees. During her career, Elín has emphasized and supported the importance of good and constructive communication. Elín Valgerður has a BA in English and literature, a master's degree, in human resource management and in editing and publishing, as well as being an Executive Coach.
