The piano quartet Negla premieres three new piano quartets by composers Arngerður María Árnadóttir, Hugi Guðmundsson and Ingibjörg Ýr Skarphéðinsdóttir. The repertoire reflects the diverse, nuanced and textured soundscape of the piano quartet form. In their works, the composers have drawn inspiration from many places, including Icelandic folk music, and from them they have created different soundscapes, where deep emotions often lurk beneath the peaceful surface of the music.
