This concert will feature K.óla, MOTET and Turturi.

Harpa, in collaboration with the Reykjavík Music City, Rás 2 and Landsbankinn, is hosting Upprásin, a concert series dedicated to grassroots Icelandic music, across musical genres. Upprásin is now taking place for the third year in a row and a total of 27 bands will perform, three on each concert night.

Ticket prices are only 2000 kr. but it is possible to contribute a higher amount during the ticket sales process, which will go directly to the artists.

K.óla

K.óla brings a playful and colorful vision to the stage with a unique DIY approach. Over the past seven years, she has performed both solo and with a band, captivating audiences with her electric bass or guitar and distinctive vocals. Her songs, sung in Icelandic and English, feature simple yet mesmerizing melodies that leave a lasting impression. She has been nominated for, and received, music awards in Iceland. K.óla has also collaborated with local artists in both Iceland, Faroe islands and Germany. Further enriching her creative expression and musical network.

MOTET
MOTET is the groundbreaking Iceland-based musical and visual duo of Owen Hindley and Þorsteinn Eyfjörð. Their disruptive, immersive work blends organic and mechanical elements, merging beauty with decay, and dystopia with hope. Through dynamic, reactive performances they o?er a visceral exploration of sound, light, and space, challenging perceptions of what it means to be human.

Turturi

Turturi (an old Icelandic word for a turtle-dove) is an Icelandic band formed in 2024, performing their own new material, with lyrics in Icelandic. They seek inspiration from dreamy/indie-pop, flower-folk/rock of the late 60’s/70’s and chillout/jazz. Band members are  Eydís Egilsdóttir Kvaran, guitar and voice, Iðunn Gígja Kristjánsdóttir, bass and voice, Bjarki Hall, keyboards and voice and Sævar Andri Sigurðarson, drums and percussion.
