Góðir gran­nar (Good Neigh­bours) sing in Hör­puhorn

Góðir grannar (Good Neighbours) give a short recital in Hörpuhorn on May 11 at 3:15 pm. 

The audience will be offered selected songs from the spring concert repertoire, which will be held on May 12th in Langholtskirkja. The repertoire consists of songs requested by choir members, including classic Icelandic choral songs as well as songs by Spilverk þjóðanna, Rolling Stones and Coldplay.

Where: Hörpuhorn, an open space, located on the first floor, right in front of Eldborg.
When: Sunday, May 11, 3:15pm - 3:45pm.
Entrance is free and everybody welcome.

Góðir grannar (Good Neighbours) is a mixed choir that has been active for 25 years. Its members are all experienced choir singers. Their biggest events every year are the Christmas concert and the spring concert. For the spring concerts they choose their songs according to a preselected theme, e.g., “Songs from World War II”, “Cinema Songs”, “Songs about the Weather” and “The Universe”. Additionally, they perform on several occasions, such as the Reykjavík Culture Night and the Winter Festival. They have twice performed at the Nordic Choir Festival Nordklang. In 2023, they took part in the chamber opera Systemet (The Welfare System) by Gísli Jóhann Grétarsson at the "Opera Days" in Reykjavík. This year, to celebrate the 25 years of singing together, the programme consists of their own favourite songs. The conductor of Góðir grannar is Egill Gunnarsson.

This concert is part of the Icelandic Choir Conductors' Association's spring concert series in Hörpuhorn, an open space located on the first floor, right in front of Eldborg. Admission to the concert is free and all are welcome.
