The University of Iceland Women's Choir gives a short recital in Hörpuhorn. The program consists of folk songs from different parts of the world, musical numbers, jazz standards and a Disney medley to name a few.
Where: Hörpuhorn, an
open space, located on the first floor, right in front of Eldborg.
When: Sunday, May 11 from 1pm - 1:45 pm.
Entrance is free and everybody is welcome.
The University of Iceland Women's Choir was founded by Margrét Bóasdóttir in 2005 and is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Current members come from all over the world, including China, Greece, Germany, United Kingdom, Japan, Belgium, France, Iceland, Colombia, Hungary, the United States and Philippines. The choir sings in Icelandic, Bulgarian and English this time. Choir director is Lilja Margrét Riedel.
The concert is part of the Icelandic Choir Conductors' Association's spring concert series in Harpa. Admission is free and all are welcome.
