Uprásin 2024/2025 - Open for applications
Concert series dedicated to the grassroots of Icelandic music, across musical genres.
Harpa in collaboration with Reykjavik Music City and Rás 2 is responsible for the project, and it is part of Harpa's programming strategy to support and improve the access of grassroots and young people in all musical genres to Harpa and to increase the diversity and access of music enthusiasts to new Icelandic music, directly from the grassroots of the musical life, performed under ideal conditions in Harpa.
Upprásin was held for the first time last winter (2023-2024).. A total of eight concert nights were held from September '23 to April '24, where 24 bands performed with 88 participants of all genders.
Applications for participation in Upprásin winter 2024-2025 opened today, and all interested parties are encouraged to apply. The deadline for submitting an application is up to and including May 20.
