Enzo Favata & Sunna Gunnlaugs - Múlinn Jazzclub

Two unique musical voices meet in a dialogue when Sardinian multi-instrumentalist Enzo Favata joins Icelandic jazz pianist Sunna Gunnlaugs in concert. Enzo Favata is an authority on Sardinian musical traditions but his playing is rooted in jazz music. He has had a long successful career performing with Dino Saluzzi, Miroslav Vitous, Dave Liebman, Enrico Rava, the Art Ensemble of Chicago, Django Bates, Lester Bowie, Flavio Boltro, Michel Marre, Tenores di Bitti and more. He recently joined the ECM family with his recording Ritornare which is about to be released.

Pianist, Sunna Gunnlaugs, is known for her lyrical approach to the jazz tradition. In this concert these two unique island voices meet for an evening of vibrant improvisation. The concert is supported by the Cultural Institute of Italy in Oslo.
