The programme features a diverse selection of pieces by women composers from different areas of the world. Both contemporary and earlier works will be performed, where the soprano voice, flute, and piano meet in various combinations. Among the composers represented are Catherine McMichael and Jórunn Viðar, both of whom capture both personal and natural atmospheres in their music, and also a new work by Elín Gunnlaugsdóttir will be premiered.
