Con­fer­ence and Con­cert halls


Eldborg has been designed as a world-class concert hall, with state-of-the-art acoustic technology that can be adjusted to performances, conferences and lectures of all kinds. The hall’s design features make Eldborg a truly adaptable modern venue that can accommodate up to 1,600 guests at one time.


Silfurberg is Harpa´s main conference hall, on the second floor, with theatre style seating for an audience of up to 840. Featuring the best available technological equipment, Silfurberg is specially designed as a conference hall and for a range of amplified events.


Norðurljós is a recital hall on Harpa’s second floor, situated between Eldborg and Silfurberg. It offers various possibilities for concerts, conferences, receptions and other events. Norðurljós is ideal for a sinfonietta, chamber groups, jazz bands, as well as other types of events.


Kaldalón is situated on the first floor. It is well-suited for all types of music, as well as conferences, meetings, screenings and lectures.The seating in Kaldalón is stationary, on a fixed gradient down to the stage area, and it can accommodate 195 guests.


Björtuloft is located on the top floors of Harpa, at the very summit of the building, offering spectacular views of the city, the sea and Mt. Esja. Björtuloft makes an elegant and unusual setting with over 400 sqm space divided over two floors it is the ideal venue for meetings, banquets, standing receptions and other events.


Háaloft is an elegant hall on the 8th floor of Harpa. With magnificent views to the west, over the harbour and the mountains around the city, Háaloft has been called Reykjavik´s little roof top venue. The hall is 200sqm with a large screen, and movable both stage and bar.

Exhibition and reception areas

Harpa offers a range of attractive and adaptable spaces that can be used for a variety of events, receptions and exhibitions. Numerous open spaces also create the perfect setting for sit down dinners and break outs.
