Music Workshop with Korda Samfónía | Harpa on Reykjavík Culture Night

One of Iceland's most remarkable ensembles, Korda Samfónía, invites families and people of all ages to take part in an adventurous music workshop. Together, the group will compose a brand-new piece of music in just 45 minutes, which will then be performed in a short pop-up concert for visitors and passers-by.
Participants are welcome to bring their own acoustic instruments. No musical background or experience is required.
Korda Samfónía is one of Iceland's most unconventional ensembles, bringing together people aged 20 to over 70 from all walks of life, each with their own unique story. The orchestra's mission is to give people the opportunity to collaborate in creating new music. In recent years, Korda Samfónía has presented its annual spring concert in Silfurberg at Harpa. The ensemble is led by Sigrún Sævarsdóttir Griffiths.
