Ólöf Arnalds returns to the stage for the first time in a decade with her new Bella Union album, Spíra. Known for her distinctive soprano voice and understated, emotionally resonant arrangements, Ólöf is one of Iceland’s most celebrated contemporary folk artists. Spíra marks a creative renewal, returning to Icelandic-language songwriting and the intimate, minimalistic sound that first brought her international acclaim.

This tour features fully seated, quiet performances in carefully selected, acoustically sensitive rooms across the UK and Europe, offering audiences a rare opportunity to experience Ólöf’s music in its purest form.

Ticket price: 13.990 ISK, and all seats are unnumbered.

ABOUT ÓLÖF ARNALDS
Ólöf Arnalds
has built a unique reputation over nearly two decades of recorded work and performance. Classically trained in voice and violin, she first gained international attention as a member of Icelandic group múm in the early 2000s.
Her debut album, Við og við, produced by Kjartan Sveinsson of Sigur Rós, became a modern Icelandic classic and earned major national accolades. She has toured internationally with Dirty Projectors, Blonde Redhead, Air, CocoRosie, Jonathan Richman, Sigur Rós, and Grinderman, and her records have earned praise from The New York Times, NME, Mojo, Spin, Paste, Vanity Fair, and The Guardian. She has collaborated with Björk, Ragnar Kjartansson, Skúli Sverrisson, Davíð Þór Jónsson, and other leading figures in Icelandic music and art. Spíra marks her return to intimate studio recording and her first full release in over ten years.

“Mesmerising... With a voice as crystal clear as a mountain spring, Arnalds deals in haunting folk songs... If you’ve previously fallen under the spell of Joanna Newsom, this is for you.” - The Sun – 4 stars ****

“It’s her voice that impresses... Across nice luminous laments, she delivers a masterclass in quiet intensity and emotional precision.
” - HiFi Choice – 4 stars ****

“Spíra is about the voice... Even without understanding the language it is clear that emotion is central to what is expressed.” - The Arts Desk – 4 stars ****
