Norðurljós

The popular Children's Musical, The Blue Planet is based on a book by Andri Snær Magnason with charming music by Kristjana Stefáns and lyrics by Bergur Þór Ingólfsson.

The much loved music has now been arranged for big band and singers by Eiríkur Rafn Stefánsson who will also conduct the band. Actors Björgvin Franz Gíslason and Hjörtur Jóhann Jónsson will appear as guests along with Akureyri Church Children's Choir directed by Sigrún Magna Þórsteinsdóttir and Children's Choir from Ungleikhúsið in Keflavík directed by Kristjana Stefáns, along with children soloist from Ungleikhúsið in Keflavik and Grandaskóli in Reykjavik. The Blue planet was awarded multiple prizes at the Icelandic Theater awards in 2016.

The concert is held in collaboration with the Children's Culture Festival.
