Don´t miss the show on the glass facade

Harpa counts down to the new year and shows Ólafur Elíasson's light work on the glass facade at the turn of the year

Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre will count down to the new year at the turn of the year on the glass facade as in previous years.

Harpa celebrated its 10th anniversary this year and on that occasion, Ólafur Elíasson, artist, gave Harpa 12 new light works for exhibition on the glass facade every month. On New Year's Day, all 12 works will be shown and when it's a minute till midnight, the countdown will begin from 2021 until the year 2022 has arrived.

The year 2022 will be on the cover until 6 on New Year's morning, but then the exhibition of the 12 light works begins again and will run until midnight on January 1st. Each work is 15 minutes long and the year 2021 will appear between them on New Year's Day and the year 2022 on January 1st.

Here you can watch a live stream of the glass facade from a webcam on Harpa's Youtube channel.
