The international design conference DesignTalks will be held on 7 April May 2027 in Harpa, Reykjavík.
The theme of Design March and Design Talks 2027 is Insight. Insight is the moment when what was hidden comes to light. We look beyond what is immediately visible and begin to understand what lies beneath: the ideas, experiments, mistakes and unexpected discoveries that were part of the journey to the final result.
As we are expected to work faster and the demand for perfection keeps growing, we want to make room for the unexpected, the imperfect and the human. For ideas that are still taking shape, experiments that fail, questions that have not yet been answered, and details that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Insight is looking closer. Pausing to ask: What lies beneath the surface? What had to happen for an idea to take shape? Which decisions influenced it? What changed along the way and what emerged by chance?
Look closer. There is more to see.
