This concert features Ólöf Rún, Moogie & the Boogiemen and tomi g

Harpa, in collaboration with the Reykjavík Music City, Rás 2 and Landsbankinn, is hosting Upprásin, a concert series dedicated to grassroots Icelandic music, across musical genres. Upprásin is now taking place for the third year in a row and a total of 27 bands will perform, three on each concert night.

Ticket prices are only 2000 kr. but it is possible to contribute a higher amount during the ticket sales process, which will go directly to the artists.

Ólöf Rún is a singer and producer. Her approach to music creation is from the perspective of a producer - she uses recordings, samples, and synths to create a dreamy and electrified sound world which she weaves together with finely crafted lyrics. The lyrics, drawing inspiration from folklore and the poetic craft of songwriters, tell stories of longing to escape from the world's worries, of shadowy creatures lost in darkness, and of strange and surreal events. They paint a dreamy, mysterious world and invite the listener to linger there for a while, while electrified tones float through the air.

Moogie & the Boogiemen

This legendary rock band, Moogie & the Boogiemen, is known for transcending the ordinary, fusing psychedelic grooves, blistering guitars and thundering vocals into a sonic experience that defies time itself. Weaving together elements of rock, funk, blues, folk, disko and beyond, with their unique sonic sorcery, crafting a sound that can only be described as mind-bendingly awesome.

tomi g

tomi g is a musician who makes experimental electronic music. tomi g creates personal songs and has a charming clothing style. Happiness, love, sadness and everything in between.
