World Music in Harpa is a new event series within Harpa’s family program, offering guests the chance to explore music and culture from different regions of the world through live performance, participation, and shared experiences. The series will culminate in a major World Music Festival for children in June 2026.

This event will be dedicated to the music of West Africa.

Dancers and drummers from Dans Afríka Iceland, along with the band Barakan Band, will lead guests into the enchanting world of African percussion and irresistible rhythms.

• At the end, everyone is invited to join in a group dance accompanied by live drumming.
