General ticket sales for the Chamber Music Society's concerts begin on Culture Night, August 23, but until then, you can purchase The Chamber Music Society Pass at Harpa's box office and on Harpa's website. The passes will be ready for pick-up at Harpa's box office from August 23, when the Chamber Music Society will hold a short concert as part of Harpa's Culture Night programme.
There are six concerts this year, including family a concert held in collaboration with Harpa's family program. Admission to the family concert is free. Several performers are well-known to The Chamber Music Society regulars, but many of them work mostly abroad, which makes this an excellent opportunity to enjoy their musicianship in Iceland. A total of twenty musicians will perform at The Chamber Music Society's concerts this year, ten of them for the first time. The repertoire consists of renowned chamber works by some of the greatest composers of Western music history, as well as premieres of works by Grigory Frid, Eleanor Alberga and Veronique Vaka.
Further information and concert programs are available at kammer.is.
