Workshop with Lilju Maríu Ásmundsdóttur
Take part in a creative workshop led by composer and artist Lilja María Ásmundsdóttir. She will guide participants through the world of graphic notation: a method of writing music that does not rely on traditional musical notation, but instead encourages imagination and creative expression through visual representations of sound.
No prior experience is necessary to take part in the workshop, it is open to all curious minds.
This workshop is an excellent introduction to Temporal Harmonies Inc.’s concert, Quarter-Life Crisis, which takes place later the same evening. During the concert, audience members will be invited to create their own graphic scores, which will then be interpreted by the ensemble’s musicians in the second half of the performance.
Pay what you want: Guests of Seigla are invited to contribute what they can or feel the workshop is worth, should they wish to do so. The suggested contribution is 1.500kr, and all proceeds support the continued work of the festival.
More information, festival programme and artists’ bios available at www.seiglafestival.com.
