This concert will feature knackered, TÁR and Nei

Harpa, in collaboration with the Reykjavík Music City and Rás 2, is hosting Upprásin, a concert series dedicated to grassroots Icelandic music, across musical genres. Upprásin is now taking place for the fourth year in a row and a total of 27 bands will perform, three on each concert night.

Ticket prices are only 2000 kr. but it is possible to contribute a higher amount during the ticket sales process, which will go directly to the artists.

knackered

Iceland based producer and performer knackered is characterised by what's been described as “fun-as-hell underground club music in the vein of SOPHIE or A.G. Cook” by SPIN. Her debut EP fyi (for your information) that was released through Icelandic label Marvaða on November 6th, 2025, received the Kraumur Award as top six best Icelandic releases of the year, and she received the The Reykjavík Grapevine’s Music
Awards as Best Live Act in 2026. Her genre-defying and playful electronic productions that merge contemporary club music with pop structures got her nominated for Reykjavik Grapevine's Music Awards as One to Watch in 2025 and throughout the year she’s continued to excite audiences at anything from sweaty
basement parties and queer raves to Iceland Airwaves’ showcase festival.

TÁR

TÁR is the dreamy and innovative Icelandic alternative-folk partnership of Elín Ey and Zöe Ruth Erwin.
While their sound dances between the genres of folk, country, and alternative and pop, it somehow lands onto an island all its own. Together, they create a vast world of storytelling and musical tapestry; navigating through life’s most tangible themes, big and small. Combining their shared experiences in life with an emotive approach to instrumentation and soundscapes, TÁR zooms in on the relatable narratives of everyday life and offers a shared space for the listener to recognize themselves within it on a deeply human level. Their combination of intimate acoustic instrumental foundation, ethereal and haunting vocals, playful synth and atmospheric layers, and lyrics that both cut with brutal honesty and then lighten with witty sarcasm, conjures an experience that is both soothing and hilarious.

NEI

NEI is an Icelandic post-punk band with strong coldwave influences, drawing inspiration from Joy Division, Interpol, The Sisters of Mercy, and Baraflokkurinn to name a few. Driving drums and pulsating bass provide the foundation for sharp guitar lines, atmospheric textures, and evocative vocals.

Birgir Jakob Hansen – vocals, synthesizers, programming

Snorri Rafn Hallsson – guitar

Tómas Ævar Ólafsson – bass
