The Reykjavík Opera Days invites you to a festive concert featuring the Nordic Opera Choir and Elja Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Ragnheiður Ingunn Jóhannsdóttir. The programme offers a rich and dynamic selection of some of opera’s most celebrated choral numbers, along with solo arias and hidden gems.
Audiences can look forward to iconic pieces ranging from Verdi’s Anvil Chorus (Il Trovatore) and Va, pensiero (Nabucco), to beloved classics such as the Habanera from Carmen and the spellbinding Humming Chorus from Madama Butterfly. The concert also features stunning works by Alexander Borodin, Kaija Saariaho, Helena Munktell, among others.
