Gullöld svei­flun­nar - Stórs­veit Reyk­javíkur

The Reykjavik Big Band has it’s annual New year’s concert “The golden age of swing” at Eldborg Hall in Harpa. The program is dedicated to the swing era, 1930-50, when big bands ruled the world and leading conductors, soloists and singers were the pop stars of their time. New and exciting program every year from the books of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Woody Herman, Tommy Dorsey and others. Only original arrangements are performed and no cost is spared to make this a memorable event. Guest singers of the year are Salka Sól and Jógvan Hansen. Sigurdur Flosason conducts and introduces the music.
