CELINE DION NOSTALGIA

Celine Dion is one of the most influential singers of our time, and her voice has touched the hearts of millions of people around the world. Celine Dion is much more than just a singer; she is a force that changed the face of pop music forever! With an extraordinary vocal range and remarkable technical precision, she showed the world what it means to sing with pure passion, while also paving the way for the powerful divas of today and demonstrated that music can bridge all language barriers, as her albums have sold approximately 250 million copies worldwide.

Celine had a defining influence on the music industry by combining classical elegance with modern pop. She turned grand ballads into an art form and transformed the way we experience live concerts. The music of Celine Dion will come to life once again in Harpa’s Norðurljós hall on the 19th of november, when Guðrún Árný performs her most beloved songs with soul and warmth. Guests can expect an evening filled with nostalgia, joy, and unforgettable moments featuring songs such as My Heart Will Go On, The Power of Love, Because You Loved Me, It’s All Coming Back to Me Now, and To Love You More.

Few artists are better suited for this demanding project than Guðrún Árný. Guðrún possesses the unique ability to connect with her audience in such a personal and heartfelt way that no one leaves untouched. With her powerful yet silky-smooth voice, she brings us Celine Dion’s songs with the sincerity and joy that are uniquely her own. She approaches the subject with great respect while also adding her own charm and personality to the performance, ensuring that the evening will be both celebratory and unforgettable.

To complete the evening, an outstanding group of musicians will join Guðrún on stage.

The band:
Vignir Þór Stefánsson, musical director and piano
Helgi Reynir Jónsson, guitar and keyboards
Grétar Lárus Matthíasson, guitar
Róbert Þórhallsson, bass
Jón Geir Jóhannsson, drums

Backing vocals:
Ragna Björg Ársælsdóttir
Íris Lind Verudóttir

We look forward to seeing you in the Norðurljós hall, 19th of november at 20:00 (8:00 PM)
