Krishna Das - Home in the Heart

Legendary kirtan singer Krishna Das is coming to Reykjavík for a rare evening of mantra and music as well as hosting a workshop.

Known as the “Rockstar of Yoga,” Krishna Das has helped introduce the ancient practice of call-and-response chanting (kirtan) from India to Western audiences.

His gatherings are immersive musical experiences where audiences are invited to join in chanting, creating a shared atmosphere of rhythm, meditation, and connection.
Whether you are familiar with kirtan or simply curious, the evening offers a chance to experience this powerful communal practice live.

As a special treat, Arjun Bruggeman who accompanies Krishna Das on tabla, will open with his own immersive sound journey in rhythm and mantra. We are so happy to begin with this beautiful explorative soundscape that will lead us into the chanting with KD.

Join us at Harpa for a night that will open the European "Home in the Heart" tour with devotion, community, and a shared journey back home to the heart.

Guests are encouraged to bring yoga cushions to sit on, but there will also be chairs at the back and to the sides.
