Venue

Hörputorg

Brumm Brumm is a travelling print workshop and gallery housed in a vintage camper van. The van travels from place to place, bringing the art of printmaking to life through live demonstrations. On Culture Night, Brumm Brumm will be on Hörputorg from 13:00–18:00, delighting passers-by of all ages.

This year, Brumm Brumm also presents Print on Kids, an interactive event where screen-printed images are applied directly to the skin, much like temporary tattoo transfers. Visitors of all ages are invited to take an active part in the creative process and experience the experimental screen-printing techniques that Brumm Brumm has been developing over the past year. Print on Kids takes place from 14:00–16:00.

Brumm Brumm specialises in creating prints that evoke a sense of nostalgia. Their work often draws on packaging designs that have remained unchanged for decades. Traditional printing techniques, colours, and materials are combined in distinctive ways to capture the feeling of times gone by—much like the timeless charm of the vintage camper van itself.

The Culture Night programme on Hörputorg is presented by Harpa and Landsbankinn.
