This Christmas Celebration Concert promises to be a spectacular event uniting two icons – legendary disco band Boney M. featuring original member Liz Mitchell in a rare appearance with her full live band, and the powerful vocals of Icelandic favourite Herbert Guðmundsson.

Boney M. shaped the international music scene of the 70s and 80s like few other bands with their unique blend of disco, reggae, and pop and are among the most successful disco acts of all time. With over 150 million records sold, international number-one hits, and a sound that influenced entire generations, the group took disco to unprecedented heights and became synonymous with fun and entertainment.

Taking centre stage is the world-famous voice of Boney M: Liz Mitchell, who is joined specially for this unique concert at Harpa by a 12-piece fully-instrumented band and backing singers. With her powerful and dynamic vocals she brings unparalleled energy and passion to such classic songs as Rivers of Babylon, Daddy Cool, Rasputin, Ma Baker, Sunny, Hooray! Hooray! It's a Holi-Holiday and Mary’s Boy Child / Oh My Lord.

This lively lineup delivers the authentic, infectious Boney M. sound with flamboyance and fun – perfect for the festive season.

But that's not all: kicking off this memorable Christmas concert is one of Iceland’s most enduring rock stars, Herbert Guðmundsson, who returns to Harpa with his five-piece band of professional musicians.

The super-talented singer-songwriter ‘Hebbi’ has been enthralling audiences for more than 50 years with his stirring vocals, catchy guitar riffs and contagious beats.
