General ticket sales for the Chamber Music Society's concerts begin on Culture Night, August 23, but until then, you can purchase The Chamber Music Society Pass at Harpa's box office and on Harpa's website. The passes will be ready for pick-up at Harpa's box office from August 23, when the Chamber Music Society will hold a short concert as part of Harpa's Culture Night programme.

The concert is dedicated to the music of Dmitri Shostakovich, one of the greatest and most admired composers of the 20th century, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his death in Moscow in August 2025. The concert will feature his childhood work, Piano Trio No. 1, which he composed at the age of just 16. The Sonata for violin and piano was not composed until half a century later and the final work of the concert, Shostakovich's Sonata for viola and piano is the last work the composer completed, just a few weeks before his passing.
