--

The Chamber Choir Huldur was founded by choir director and composer Hreiðar Ingi Þorsteinsson in the fall of 2021. According to Icelandic folklore and poetry, Huldur is a nature spirit who lives in waterfall canyons or deep in the ocean and drives waves with singing and playing the langspil. The choir members are aged 18-26. The aim of the choir's work is to introduce choir members to trends and currents within new choral music and then, in this way, to engage members in music creation, so that it becomes a workshop in composition for young and aspiring composers.
