Mr. Mar­tini - Múlinn jazzclub

Mr. Martini is the jazz project of saxophonist Steinar Sigurðarson, whose debut album 19.15 was released in 2019 and quickly sold over 120 copies on vinyl. Mr. Martini is a kind of alter ego – a musical playground where Steinar blends Latin jazz with pop influences. The album features imaginative and unexpected arrangements of well-known songs such as Smoke on the Water (Deep Purple) and Þú komst við hjartað í mér (by Toggi), alongside two original compositions by Steinar. At this concert at Múlinn, the band will perform a selection of tracks from 19.15, along with exciting new material from the upcoming Mr. Martini album. Expect an engaging mix of rhythmic flair, bold improvisation, and unexpected musical moments.
