Environmental Management System

In 2016, Harpa signed an agreement with Klappir Green Solutions hf. for the use of an environmental management system to monitor and record all ecological data related to Harpa’s operations.

Measurements and results are published annually in Harpa’s Sustainability Report, alongside other relevant data generated from Harpa’s own systems.

The data is compiled with care, reviewed and analysed by Harpa’s staff and management, but it is not verified or audited by an external third party. Financial information, however, is reviewed and confirmed by the group’s auditors.

All data is published by calendar year, and the Sustainability Report complies with Act No. 3/2006 on Annual Accounts and the EU Directive 2014/95/EU on non-financial reporting.

Harpa has issued a Sustainability Report alongside its Annual Report since 2023, and the report's scope has grown each year. From the outset, Harpa has adhered to the Nasdaq ESG Reporting Guide 2.0 (issued in February 2020), which outlines key metrics and information on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors.
