Dear friends! We warmly welcome you to the music and storytelling program on Friday 3rd of December at 18:00 in Harpa. This is a unique program about Sesselja Sigvaldadóttir and her son Sigvaldur Kaldalón who was and is today one of our best known Icelandic composers. The program gives us an insight into the times he lived, his youth in the shelter of his mother and the people who surrounded him. It also tells a story about the people of Ísafjarðardjúp and how they encouraged Sigvaldur Kaldalón to make his music public.

The author of the program is our beloved actress, Gríma Prize Winner and Honorary Artist of Reykjavík, Guðrún Ásmundsdóttir.

Performers are:

Alexandra Chernyshova, soprano

Rúnar Þór Guðmundsson, tenor

Gerður Bolladóttir, soprano

Þórhallur Barðasson, baritone

Einar Bjartur Egilsson, pianist
