40 Years of the Violinmaking of Hans Jóhannsson
A life's journey, string concert with Hans Jóhannsson's instruments.
The concert will feature works by Richard Strauss, Maria Huld Markan and Úlfur Hansson, and presents a unique opportunity to hear the sound of scores of instruments made by the same master luthier. The concert will be the closing performance of a series of events and an exhibition of Hans Johannsson´s instruments spanning his career, open at Ásmundarsalur from the first to the fifteenth of October.
