Social Responsibility

Harpa has set itself the goal of being an example in environmental and climate matters by systematically reducing the emission of greenhouse gases from its operations and the effects that the emission has. Harpa is thus actively involved in the fight against climate change.

Harpa has great responsibilities to lead by example when it comes to social responsibility and the implementation of sustainability in all areas of operations. Harpa's sustainability policy takes international standards and the United Nations' Global Goals into account. For the first time, Harpa publishes an annual and sustainability report together with the financial statements in accordance with the UFS guidelines issued by Nasdaq in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce. The goal is to share information about the activity and its impact on the environment and society. Langbrók consulting has provided an opinion with limited certainty on Harpa's non-financial disclosure that follows Nasdaq's UFS guidelines.

Since the beginning of 2022, a steering group on sustainability issues has led the definition and implementation of sustainability goals with the help of a sustainability consultant, where the main focus is to implement UFS measures and at the same time to make an effort to strengthen Harpa's social impact and cultural awareness in society. Harpa has implemented all the Five Green steps of the Environment Agency and received The Swan certification for the Harpa conference facility in 2022.

Since 2015, Harpa has worked systematically to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases and in this way wants to actively participate in the fight against climate change. Harpa has published a climate and environmental policy in 2021.
