Duo Freyja and Brian Hong perform duos and trios for violins and viola. The world of sound calls for lyrics, dance, different string tunings and possibly the use of paper clips!
Duo Freyja consists of the mother Svava Bernhardsdóttir, viola player and daughter Rannveig Marta Sarc, violinist. This time they are joined by husband/son-in-law Brian Hong, a violinist. The duos and trios performed in this concert are a Korean piece by Texa Kim, a piece by Icelandic composer María Huld Markan Sigfúsdóttir, as well as two of the most famous pieces of music literature for the composition two violins and viola; works by Dvorak and Kodaly.
