Access

Enjoy coming to Harpa. Please give yourself plenty of time, whether you come on foot or need to park a car or bicycle. Everything takes time, whether you need to get a ticket, use the coat hanger or enjoy a meal or a drink before an event.

Practical information for visitors

Harpa is in the centre of Reykjavík, by the old harbour. If you are coming by car, then you can access Harpa via Sæbraut. If you are on foot, you can either use the convenient pedestrian crossing or approach along the sea-shore and enjoy spectacular views of the building.

Parking

Harpa offers an accessible and well lit car park – so you should have no problem finding somewhere to park. Please note that disabled parking is available next to the entry doors from the car park into the building. There is no parking outside Harpa’s main entrance except for quick drop-offs.

There is a parking fee for using the car park from 7 am to 2 am, which can be paid at one of the three parking meters (the meters take cash and credit cards). Parking tickets should then be displayed in the front windscreen of the car.

Parking tickets can also be purchased at the box office on the ground floor of the building. Note that there is a penalty for cars not displaying a ticket.
